Last weekend we went to Aspen to check out the 2012 X Games. It was great to be out on the west coast and see some of the top athletes and see some new records and tricks.

The Temple University Snowboarding Club is having their Bell Tower Rail Jam this thursday.
Riders from the TUSC & Big Boulder PARK Team will be out all day.
Event Schedule :
Registration (approved riders/skiers) – 10:00AM – 11:00AM
Rail Jam (open format) – 11:00AM – 2:00PM
Finals – 2:00PM – 2:30PM
Winners/Awards – 2:30PM

It’s that time of year. Some of us from FREE2RIDE will be heading down to Orlando, FL for the weekend to hang out at the Surf Expo. If you can make it, it’s definitely one of the best action sports trade shows.

We would like to introduce you to a new magazine we came across the other day called EAST Snowboard Mag. It was Started by Tanner McCarty, Matty B, Owen Ringwall, who all worked at High Cascade this past summer and we were talking about how the east needs a new snowboard mag. Ever since ECS stopped, the east hasn’t had a snowboard mag they can go to. So when all four of them got back from Hood they had a few meetings and got EAST Snowboard Magazine rolling. Their first release was December 5th along with their website. Its only available online now but will move to print soon. They are working on the next issue now and looking at releasing it late February. EAST is going to spotlight everything going on the East Coast. Check them out at www.eastsnowboardmag.com
